Product of the Week

Due to such a popular demand I have decided to set up a segment called Product of the Week.

This will be a little display of our best selling product for week. 

These have just taken off this week, especially since the introduction of Afterpay! 

Each listing on the website is based on 7 names/words if you'd like more just inbox me via our Facebook page 

There are 3 choices on the website. 

Basic - This is just the letters on a solid or patterned background

Sentiment - your letters with a sentiment (as seen above) 

Decorated - letters with a sentiment and other decorations (see below)

They come in a white shadow box which fits the 12x12 paper perfectly inside. 

Perfect for many occasions or just for a new decor piece in your home.

Clabel Designs is BACK!

It has been a few years since I have done anything with Clabel Designs. I've still been crafting but changed the name, after having the twins I thought it wasn't fair to have the name Clabel Designs since the Clabel is a combination of the start of my daughters names.

I changed the name to Love The Crafty Butterfly as I love to craft and I love butterflies but the name never really felt right, Clabel Designs did however. So sorry to the twins but my husbands business incorporates them so I guess all is fair!

Since deciding to change the name back to the original name I have found I have a lot more motivation for the business once again, something I didn't have when it felt lost and like it didn't fit.

My passion and my drive are back, it is a fantastic feeling. I am setting goals and achieving them. Today marks the beginning of a new financial year, today marks the day Clabel Designs makes its official come back. I've been posting a little here and there on social media via 

FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM

Given that it is school holidays I will be busy creating and adding lots of stock, I am busy building a website which should be ready to launch in a few weeks and the plan is to be able to offer AfterPay as a payment method.

It feels so good to have this motivation back. I love to create, it is my stress relief. I do dream of my own craft room one day, for now I'm stuck on the coffee table while binge watching Netflix. One day we will move to a house where I have that space - again goals!

So why after these years have I decided to throw myself back into my crafting business? Simply for my family. I do have another job as a doula which I absolutely love but I don't take on many clients, I prefer to be dedicated to one family and not risk overlap so it really doesn't pay the bills.
I have the twins who have just been diagnosed with disabilities, with lots of appointments and days off kindergarten it makes it hard to have a job in the big wide world. This is to show them that no matter what obstacles you face you can take something you love and it will take you places.
Not to mention paying bills is an essential.

So I have a few things this week I will be doing to try and boost my numbers and make my first sale officially as Clabel Designs (again!)

122 day challenge - fundraiser

Yesterday marked the start of my 122 day challenge where everyday is my mission to make a new item.
Once the 122 days is over these items will be auctioned and funds raised for the Ronald McDonald House - Monash.
When my twins were 2 months old they were seriously ill and ended up in intensive care over 200km from home, the RMH became our new home and without the wonderful staff and voulenteers I dont know how we would have coped. So I feel it my duty to help them to help others in the scary position I found myself in last year.

Day 1 kicked off yesterday with a large knit scarf but a terrible photo that does not do the scarf justice so today I will be taking a better photo but here is the one that will be replaced.

Mothers Day Competition

I haven't blogged in quite some time but now the twins are older (10 months already!) I have a little more time. Why not kick off my return with something fun!

Notebook covers

I used to do this with all my school books just not with fabric and now having a 2nd job (body shop at home consultant which i am LOVING!!) and having so many different diaries and notebook i thought why not start decorating the covers again and as I've caught the sewing bug why not do them out of the masses of fabric scraps I have laying around dying to be used!

Now as I'm not using a pattern and just adapting what I used to do with decorated card at school I need some people to trial them ... funny I'm asking here with no followers at the moment!

The covers also come with a notebook.

not quite sure why that one turned sideways i will try and fix it later!

They do need a little tweaking sizewise and the trail versions sent out will be fixed up but this was my first attempt at it. I love the pockets at school i kept all handouts in them to prevent them getting lost, now i keep all design sketches im working on, body shops orders etc.
The reason I'm asking for testers is so I know from an outside perspective what the potential product is like, your likes/dislikes, what you would change/add etc ... I can't sell products you love unless I know what you love!

New and exciting blog!

I just can't stay away I have decided to start blogging again! Here you can see my trials, errors and accomplishments with being a work at home mum. With facebooks rules it will be easier to run competitions through the blog too.
I hope you enjoy it and even more importantly I hope I do a better job than in the past at updating it! I plan on putting sneak previews on the blog, some tutorials (although not many as obviously I'm here to make the products for you to earn an income!) competitions as mentions and who knows what else at this stage!
Now to find some followers and play around and make this blog look pretty!
